LISD Announces Vanessa Diglia as Principal of Homestead Elementary

LISD Announces Vanessa Diglia as Principal of Homestead Elementary

Lewisville ISD announced this evening the appointment of Vanessa Diglia as the new principal of Homestead Elementary School. Diglia currently serves as assistant principal at Forest Vista Elementary and brings over 25 years of educational experience — the majority of it within Lewisville ISD — to her new role.

"I am truly honored to join the Homestead Elementary community," said Diglia. "I look forward to partnering with an incredible staff and supportive families to build on the strong foundation already in place and to ensure every student feels known, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential."

Diglia began her career in education in 1998 as an 8th-grade teacher in Wichita, Kansas. She joined LISD in 2005 as a teacher at Delay Middle School. From 2011 to 2022, she served the district as the Coordinator of Assessment and Accountability, where she trained and supported administrators in data analysis and implementation. She moved into campus administration in 2022 as the Assistant Principal at Highland Village Elementary, and most recently served as Assistant Principal at Forest Vista Elementary.

"Ms. Diglia is a dedicated, relationship-driven leader who knows and loves this district," said LISD Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp. "Her breadth of experience across campuses and at the district level, combined with her passion for students and her commitment to instructional excellence, makes her a wonderful fit for the Homestead community."

Diglia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Wichita State University.
