Hello, Welcome to Law Enforcement,
The career of law enforcement is vast and exciting with many opportunities for one to challenge themselves. There isn’t a more interesting or exciting career choice one could have.
Law enforcement professionals are challenged each and every day with keeping our communities safe and pursuing those that do wrong in the pursuit of justice.
I graduated from Lewisville High School. I am married and have one daughter, who is a Plano police officer. I started my journey in law enforcement, in 1987, as a police dispatcher for the University of Texas at Arlington Police Department. I then became a police officer for the San Antonio Police Department in 1990 and retired from The Colony Police Department in 2021.
During my career, I had many challenging and rewarding positions that included:
Patrol Officer
Intoxylizer Operator
Field Training Officer
Narcotics Investigator
Police Instructor
Explorer Post Advisor
Hostage Negotiator
Patrol Sergeant
Patrol Lieutenant
We have an awesome Law Enforcement / Forensics program at TECC-West, so come on in and be a part of one of the most rewarding careers available that will challenge your mind, give satisfaction in doing something worthwhile for your community, and will keep you engaged for years to come.
