Counselor

 

 

Hello, 

 

My name is Mattie Mackey.  I graduated from Sterling City High School, located in west Texas.   I earned my Bachelor of Science from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and my Master of Education in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University.

 

This will be my 24^th year in education, with this being my 15^th year as a professional school counselor.  I have been a counselor at elementary, middle, and high school levels. 

 

I live in Newark. My husband and I have a blended family of 9 children and 5 grandchildren.  The youngest two girls are still at home. We currently have 3 dogs and 3 cats. 

 

I am so excited to be at TECC-West and already LOVE IT here!!! 

 

I look forward to serving our LISD students and families.
